Farm House under Construction near Golva, ND - Abt. 1920

According to John Schumacher (Gerhard's son), this photo was most likely taken while Gerhard and some assistants were building his new home at his Golva, ND area farm. The identity of who was in this photo is unknown. According to John Schumacher, the house was a "kit" house purchased from a Sears & Roebuck catalog. The house came unassembled on a railroad car and came complete with everything needed for its completion.
