Johann Dehmer's grave (Gerhard's other grandfather) - Died 9/9/1896

Johann Dehmer, Gerhard's maternal grandfather was born in Ersingen, Baden, Germany. Kampfelbach, Baden-Wurttemburg, Germany was created in 1974 from unifying the villages of Ersingen and Bilfingen. It is located just northwest of Pforzheim, between the cities of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.

Johann was born on February 11, 1819; his occupation was Schustermeister (Master Cobbler); he married Regina Lindenfelser on May 14, 1846; he immigrated to/arrived in the USA on May 20, 1854 on the ship George F. Patten; he died on September 9, 1896 and he was buried in the St. Michael's Catholic Church cemetery in St. Michael, MN on September 12, 1896.

Johann's grave is located in the old St. Michael's Church cemetery which is next to the old Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN. His grave is located next to a tree stump about 4 rows to the rear of Matthias Schumacher's grave (moving away from the street). Matthias Schumacher's grave is in the front row of the cemetery, next to the short fence and adjacent to the gate on that short fence.
